Queer Gabby Reference Tool

Queer Gabby: LGBTQIA+ Reference Question Digital Feature
2020-2021 - Introducing Queer Gabby and Our Resources for the LGBTQIA+ Community

In 2020, I pitched and helped create an interactive feature for the Cincinnati Public Library website called Queer Gabby, a "Dear Abby"-inspired reference question generator for youth and teens to access LGBTQIA+ materials, history, and community organizations with the option to remain anonymous. The feature was released in May 2021.
This unique reference tool was published in two major library publications and is the first of its kind.

Oral History Interviews

Since I began my position as the Community Content Coordinator in 2021, I have conducted over 50 oral history interviews with community elders, artists, local bands, teachers, students, filmmakers, veterans, disability advocates, immigrants, religious leaders, and more. I was honored to interview prominent Cincinnatians such as Buddy LaRosa, Hospice of Cincinnati Founder Connie Dettmer, Reverend Damon Lynch, former Cincinnati City Councilman Chris Seelbach, and LGBTQ+ activists Al Gerhardstein and Jim Obergefell, and many more. I was a presenter at the Oral History Association conference in 2024.
