In 2022, I was recognized by Cincinnati City Council as a Pride Month Honoree, as nominated by Councilmember Reggie Harris for my work at the Cincinnati Public Library and the Queer Gabby reference tool, my involvement in local LGBTQ+ history preservation with the Ohio Lesbian Archives, for my efforts with Cincinnati Pride and TreeHouse Cincinnati, and for Smoke & Queers Burlesque and Drag Troupe. A resolution was presented at City Hall on June 23, 2022.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Picture
As a junior and senior at Middletown High School, I was a Big Sister to my little, Bradley in 2011 and 2012. Bradley was a student at Rosa Parks Elementary. See their elementary school graduation photos here.

George Will Protest

Picture
I helped organize and participated in a peaceful protest held by Miami University students in 2014 against speaker and politician George Will because of his comments on campus sexual assault. See a copy of the article and this photo in the Miami Unversity Student Newspaper here.

Camp Korelitz

Picture
In 2014, I was a camp counselor and assisting medical staff at Camp Korelitz in Clarksville, Ohio, which is specifically for children between 8-16 affected by Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.

Dakota Access Pipeline
Charity Drive & Protest

In 2016, I organized a committee that facilitated a three- day supplies drive around the community in Cincinnati for the Native American protesters and water defenders at the Dakota Access Pipeline in Cannon Ball, North Dakota. We managed to receive a sizable amount of donations which we took directly to the protest in ND. We participated and worked for a week at the camp.

See the article and mention of the committee in the Cincinnati Enquirer here.
