Big brothers big sisters
As a junior and senior at Middletown High School, I was a Big Sister to my little, Bradley in 2011 and 2012. Bradley was a student at Rosa Parks Elementary and I helped him with homework, We also played games and puzzles, and spent time outside.
Atrium medical center
I was a student volunteer in the Maternal Child Health Department at Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, Ohio during my sophomore year of college in 2014. I was able to intake patients, collect information and vital signs, and observe procedures and tests.
In 2014, I was a camp counselor and assisting medical staff at Camp Korelitz in Clarksville, Ohio, which is specifically for children between 8-16 affected by Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. I helped campers check their blood sugar levels and manage their diet while they enjoyed camp activities.
Women helping women
I was a rape crisis advocate at Women Helping Women in Oxford, Ohio in 2014 and interned with the organization for six months. I provided hospital accompaniment, support, resources, and advice for victims of rape and sexual assault.
George will protest
I helped organize and participated in a peaceful protest held by Miami University students in 2014 against a guest speaker named George Will because of his comments on campus sexual assault.
Dakota Access pipeline Charity drive/PROTEST
In 2016, I organized a committee and supplies drive in my community in Cincinnati, Ohio for the Native American protesters of the Dakota Access Pipeline in Cannon Ball, North Dakota. We managed to receive a sizable amount of donations which we took directly to the protest in ND and participated at the camp.
